Issue a small craft advisory: this South Bay Bessie-inspired brew launches an intense hop attack amid torrid tropical fruit flavors.

Reviewed from notes.
Can to tulip.
Appearance: orange/copper color with a one and a half fingers of white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: muted grapefruit, floral hops & piney hops; caramel/toffee malts
Flavor: blends the prior noted aromas in an old school sort of bittersweet way; finishes floral and grapefruity
Texture: medium bodied, good sipper; hop aggression is quite noticeable on the tongue, exceptionally light smoothness (really hard to find, to be honest)
Overall: I don't mind this for me but the kids these days won't like this.

Bottle from J’s. Pours a clear, deep gold with a small finger of head that dissipates almost instantly. Oranges, malt and caramel dominate the nose. Light on the palate, citrus and orange hardcandy. Caramel and booze. Finish is a little hot.

Overripe orange, lemongrass, and ash nose, not strong. Cloudy orange, thick sticky yellow head. Sweet triple sec, vegetal, tangerine. Full body, easy carbonation, warm. A bit cloying.

Pint at the Winking Lizard Cleveland Slightly hazy deep golden with a decent sized bubbly white head. Old school bready caramel maltiness with plenty of citrus and pine and maybe just a hint of tropical. Nice beer.

Lots of citrus and some mash malt in here but has a weird aftertaste. Too much mash malt tanginess. Pours orange with ok head and lacing. Bottle.
