Pours gold into a tumbler. Bright white head with excellent retention leaves spider lacing as it recedes to coat surface. Creamy wheat and coriander aromas. Thick with sweet caramel turning to dough in the lasting finish.

22 oz bottle. Beautiful, masterful take on a classic Belgian style. Very spicy on the back of the throat. If it weren’t for the aroma, which wasn’t all that great, this beer would have scored much higher. If this didn’t say it came from Colorado right there on the label, I would say this came straight from Belgium.

Bottle thanks to bu11zeye. Pours with a white head and a clear golden body. Aroma is floral with clove, honeysuckle, orange and some spice. Taste is citrus, wheat, and coriander. Light bubbles.

Pour is a cloudy orange with a average white head. Aroma is deffinatly corriander with some spice. Flavor is more orange peel and spice with a little clove to round things out. After the swallow there is noticable alcohol. A decent enough beer with nothing really bad to say about it. It seems like the double or imperial wit is the new in thing in craft brewing these days.

Tap at Great Divide tasting room - I quite liked this one - it was able to remain refreshing, despite it being obviously strong - fairly clear for a wit, but it has an impressive, lasting, fizzy head - a lot of coriander and orange peel in this, along with strong but balanced herbs and wildflowers - some light acidity and tangy character - somewhat spicy/peppery in the finish - I would say this reminds me of the six pack of SH Double White, but with a slighty heavier body, making it a little less refreshing.
