A fermenting beer never slumbers. Consequently, there is always scattered activity tending our precious beers throughout the dark hours. In these late nights and wee hours that hallowed responsibility falls to the shoulders of the overnight Brew Crew. These brewing soloists brave the long nights, often alone, to do what needs to be done. Most areas of the brewery are dark or in shadows. Throughout the night the cellars resonate with the occasional knocking of expanding and contracting pipes. It can be a bit spooky to hear the brewery creak and groan as if possessed by a spirit randomly knocking about with a mallet. This IPA, liberally hopped with Loral™, honors our intrepid overnight team by naming it after their mischievous poltergeist companion – the Ghost Hammer.

Pours a hazy orange colour. Big dense off-white head with good retention and lacing. Aroma's of citrus zest, pine and soft fruit. Retronasal it's more soft/sweet fruit, then citrus zest, bitterish, a bit old it seems. Flavour: moderate sweet and above moderate bitter. MEdium bodied. Long firm bitter finish. Not too fresh it seems.

On tap at the Stone bar and garden in Oceanside on 27th March 2019. Light haze to the golden body, white crown. Mild citrus leanings in both the aroma and taste, some dry pepper like notes also. Easy drinking IPA.

Bottle. Pours lightly cloudy dark orange with foamy off-white head, faint citrus aroma, adequate carbonation, medium bitter orange peel taste with a bit of apricot, thin body, long finish. Nice brew, quite tasty.

Bodney Towers Bottleshare. Thanks to Fergus for the can. Light haze on this gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Light palate, semi dry and with reasonable fine carbonation. Fluffy malts bring a very mild creamy sweetness. Light floralness into mellow tangy orange and a touch of tangerine. Tangy finish. It's an okay beer but hard to equate that this is Stone product. No pizazz whatsoever.

can, rated in June 2017 - Copper pour. Citrus and pine hop led aroma. The flavor is crisp and bitter with juicy, citrus hop notes. Light malt. Light to medium body and a little alcohol noticeable. Very good.
