Location: 22 oz bottle from Buy Rite, 10/18/12

Aroma: The nose is lightly smoked malts, a little caramel, peat, and some wood
Appearance: This one pours a murky brownish-orange color with a small beige head
Flavor: The taste is a little smokier then the nose, but otherwise similar, it is also light-medium sweet
Palate: The body is medium, it feels a sticky and a little smooth, with a fairly soft carbonation
Overall Impression: I thought this was a pretty decent smoked beer, but it didn't have a ton of depth to the nose or the flavor. I liked this one, but I just can't really find a reason to go much higher then middle of the road rating-wise.

Bomber from Whole Foods Market Paramus. Pours a hazy bronze color with a thin fizzy tan head that fades very quickly. That’s the 2nd beer in a row that’s done that. Smoky, roasty aroma with faint toasty and vanilla notes. The taste is bitter, astringent smoke, roasted malts, nutty notes. Tastes almost charred. Medium bodied. Decent.

Pours light mahogany into a Sam glass. Off-white head with medium retention recedes to hug rim. Fire pit aromas. Medium bodied with caramel upfront and charred oak front to back. Lasting bitter charcoal finish. A little overloaded on the smoke...

Deep clear rich brown coloured body with an earthy darkness, some ruby and indigo tints and a nice, two centimetre tall off-white head. Aroma of pungent smoke, peat, alcohol, pit fruits, raisins, cheese and a bit more alcohol and peat. Medium-bodied; Assertive smokey and roasty flavours dominate with some smoked salmon flavours soon afterward and a bit of an earthy mushroom kick at the end. Aftertaste is potent and strong with the alcohol of course showing through with some alcohol, bourbon, rum, pit fruits and some lighter fruits noticeable as well. Overall, a very strong smoked beer and much less of a porter (it really isn’t one at all) - perhaps a bit too deep and dark for me unless I had something that really accompanied it. Still, not a bad beer and fairly well done, but not great by any means. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Liqour Outlet in Boonton, New Jersey on 22-April-2012 for US$5.55 sampled at home in Washington on 23-July-2012.

Intensely smoked and zero hops at all. Burnt BBQ chicken. M - 40/60 carbonation. Oily, heavy body. O - Intense smoke. Too much. Little much else to this beer.

Bottled. A hazy amber beer with a lazing orangey head. The aroma has notes of beech wood smoke, malt, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of smoke from beech wood, malt,, caramel, and straw, leading to a dry, smokey, and bitter finish.
