Bottle at the brewery. Hazy brown color, huge tan head, great lacing. Aroma of licorice, caramel candy and milk chocolate. Taste is subtle chocolate, very smooth. Nice.

Bottle: Poured a reddish brown with an off white head. The aroma was sweet with taffy and caramel. The taste was sweet with caramel, but has that hop bitter finish.

Good white head, very persistent over hazy amber beer. Spicy nose, Chinese 5-spices like; cookie malts in the background. Malt, greenmalt, and a bit nutty retronasal. Agressive MF, harming the body a bit. It remains drinkable, which is the idea of the style, but I fear for large quantities.
