Dark brown color with a small head that settles quickly to leave profound and long-lasting lacing. Aroma of butterscotch and pine needles. Flavor begins with sweet candy, a background of apples, then progresses to a jumbled gemisch of spice and dandelions. Good body. An interesting concept, but comes across as confused rather than complex.

A dark amber ale with a thin off white head. A fruity caramel malt with herbaceous character. In mouth, a light malty ale with light metallic bitterness. Short and light, but refreshing. On tap at the brewpub, Sept. 13 2008.
