Mild aromas of dark malt, toast with hints of peanuts and coffee. Flavors are similar to nose, on the dry side with a little sweet in the finish.

Can from Tavour Aroma: coffee, peanut butter, chocolate Appearance: dark brown with a tan head Taste: medium sweetness, medium bitterness Mouthfeel: light carbonation, creamy feel, medium body, long finish Tasty
Pretty interesting beer. The peanut butter is forward. But not as forward as many others. The coffee gives a spicy dryness. It’s sharp and crisp and not so sweet and round. Very good. BeerTemple

Can from Beer Gonzo. It pours opaque jet black with a sturdy deep tan head. The aroma is big and intense, loads of chocolate, chocolate cake, coffee, chocolate chip cookies, nutty, praline, peanut butter, rich roasted malt, toasted marshmallow, smarties and chocolate donuts. The taste is dry, rich roasted malt, bitter - sweet, toasty, salty, savoury, toasted nuts, peanut butter cups, chocolate, peanut brittle, earthy roast, good hit of coffee, gateaux, coffee cake, spicy, charred, toothy, rocky road and a wee hit of alcohol with a toasty bitter - sweet chocolate nut finish. Medium+ body and moderate carbonation. Love it. Strikes a great balance. Flavourful and moreish.
Massive peanut butter, roast, sweet, sugary, nutty, mellow

12oz can from Tavour. While coffee is not my favorite adjunct, I trust Hoppin' Frog wholeheartedly, and I'm not disappointed. Dark brown pour with a wispy tan head. Aroma is heavy on the chocolate, deep, rich, exquisite. Taste is more of the sumptuous chocolate, light bitter, roasty coffee notes backing it up. Wow! Excellent from start to finish and we'll worth the high accolades.

Can (8/28/19) pour from Fort Point Market. Appearance is opaque black with tons of sparkle at the edges of the glass, thin fizzy ring of light brown head with poor retention and no lacing. Aroma is strong roasted malt, dark chocolate and coffee. Taste follows aroma with sweet malt/chocolate/coffee initially followed by roasted bitterness. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with thick texture, soft carbonation with late lively kick and bittersweet roasted finish as taste. Overall, the coffee holds up remarkably well considering the age. Nice strength and balance to the aroma and flavors and bitter/sweet.

Can from Tavour. Pours dark brn/blk with a creamy tan head. Aroma of smooth dark malt, chocolate and peanuts (peanuts?). Approaching full bodied. Flavor is semi-dark chocolate, dark malt, peanuts and a hint of coffee. Not dry. Somewhat burnt malt bitter. Tasty ale.

Smell- medium strong to strong, peanut butter then some peanut butter and ends with peanut butter, malt and coffee, sweetness and cake. Foam- medium thick, peanut butter, coffee, malt. Head is small, medium dark brown color. Appearance - can with frog on it looks ok, but no extras here. Vary dark brown, low carbonation. From -stout glass Taste - peanut butter, malt, sweetness, coffee, roast, cake. Low on bitterness, but has some from roasted malts. Very drinkable, there is ton of peanut butter a lot more than coffee what is kind of left in background, what seems a bit lacking somehow. But I would definitely try this again if its on sale.
