Cloudy colden color with persistent compact head. Easy version of IPA, with smooth mouthfeel, caramel/toffee flavor, hint of citrusy hops, dry final, and also some diacetyl.

Sample at Thompson Brewery and Public House in Salem. The beer is a mostly clear golden-amber color with a medium white head that burns away steadily. Rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of citrusy hops and malt. Medium body and moderately bitter with hops, citrus and earthy malt flavors. The finish is fruity with a lingering hops bitterness left over. Decent overall.

Portland trip. Sampled on draft this beer poured a dark golden color with a medium sized white head. The aroma was strongly bitter with solid grapefruit and pine elements. The flavor was bitter and solidly hoppy with nice grapefruit and pine elements and a lightly butter undertone that detracted. The beer turns bitter towards the long finish and the buttery note again detracted. Medium body. Ok.

An ornage amber IPA with no head. A nice classic C-hops aroma, floral, with citrus notes, sweetish. In mouth, pungeant c-hops escaping quickly leaving a watery malt stream. Lacks oomph. On tap at Six Arms, Seattle, Sept. 12 2009.

Hazy straw colored, scant white head. Aroma of fresh flowery hops. Tastes like lightly carbonated grapefruit juice. Not sue this is beer.
