12 oz bottle from Tokio, bought October 2013. Label is blue with silver and white lettering. Alcohol is 6.5% ABV. Brown color, a bit hazy. Off white head, receding until a thin layer retains. Aroma’s: caramel, light fruit, not too much from the glass actually. Retronasal it’s caramel matls, spices, some wood/tannines. Flavor is light sweet, light roasted, a bit old (raisins), light bitter. Medium bodied. Decent carbo. Wood and moderate bitterness in the finish. Still good.

330 ml bottle, brought from Japan by my son Steinar. The label has silver and white writing on a dark blue background. Matured in cedar casks. ABV is 6.5%. Murky brown colour, large off-white head. Fruity aroma (plums and fruity hops, orange marmalade), also notes of cedar wood. Woody flavour, medium sweet, fruity notes, moderately bitter finish.

This came in a 330 ml bottle with a White-blue label. Not quite sure if it is the same beer, but I will check. Very pale gold-copper color, not blonde but light. Fine head. Aroma of goldings hops and cedar. Very light malt. Dry, slightly tart flavor, with lemon, cedar, caramel, goldings. Smooth and subtle, yet somehow complex. Smooth palate, full, regular strength carbonation. Interesting, yet doesn’t fit well together. Aroma too faint; too light.
