33 cl bottle @ home, bought in Tokio, Oct. 2013. Amber color, a bit hazy. Off white head, slowly receding. Aroma’s upon opening the bottle: refreshing, aromatic hops, some caramel. A little later that disappears and you can smell it’s a bit old, caramel malts, raisins/dried fruit. Retronasal it’s quite fruity, sourish, grainy. Flavor is light sour, a bit caramel malts. Light to medium bodied. Decent carbo. Finish of caramel malts, light bitterness. I was wrong to age it.

Bottle from Shinjuku Isetan. Pale bronze with a fine head. Aroma of caramel, bread, toffee, and something that could either be cedar or skunk. Ok, but bland. Caramel and toffee flavor, with wood and an astringency at the finish. Earthy, cedar is very understated. Somewhat peppery. Rather smooth and oily or buttery. Nice enough, though not exciting.
