Betty is an American IPA boasting a blend of Mosaic, Citra, Simcoe and Centennial hops. We spent 8 months perfecting this hop blend, and we love the huge range of juicy aromas and flavors we were able to hit: tropical fruit, citrus zest, berries, stone fruit and pine are all packed in, soaring over a base of pleasantly bitter 68 IBUs and drinkable 6.5% ABV. She pours out a beautiful yellow-orange She is the first addition to our Year-Round lineup of beers since our Double IPA debuted in 2010.

The beer’s name pays homage to the pin-up art that adorned the planes of American B17 pilots during World War 2. These pilots would commission these fantastic works of art on the noses of their planes, and it serve as a daily reminder of the home they were fighting to protect.

Part of a flight at the Hanger 24 Orange County venue on Saturday 5th April 2025. Amber body, mostly clear, white head that hung around. Hoppy with a piney bitterness and citrus bite, some light malt action for a semblance of balance.

16 oz can from Raleys. Dark golden pour with a small skin of head. Malty aroma, woody, piney. Taste balances, the malts and hops, classic IPA. Caramel, nutty, simple yet complex.

355ml bottle. Clear, orangey, deep golden colour with average, thick, frothy to creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Piney and citrusy fruity, hoppy aroma, zesty notes of lemon, orange, grapefruit. Taste is crisp, bitter, piney and citrusy hoppy, notes of lemon, lemon zest, some grapefruit and orange; rather weak caramel malty basis. Very clean, almost a bit simple and monotonous.

355ml bottle from Beer Republic. No BBE info. Pours clear golden orange with a thick foamy head. Aroma of caramely malts, pine, grass, resin, citrus and herbal notes. Taste is crisp, grassy and herbal with some caramely malts, pine, resin and citrus. Finish is stingy, bitter and grassy with some herbal hops, pine, citrus and resin. Not super fresh, but still quite nicely stingy and bitter west coast IPA.

Pour is a hazy orange with a average white head. Aroma is a real nice tangerine and mango hoppyness wth cornucopia of other citrus fruit. Flavor is another nice blast of citrus fruit. Some grapefruit and stone fruit both make appearances. This is also a bit sweeter than I thought it would be but that doesn’t really distract from the hops. I did not know what to expect from this beer, I thought it would be just another run of the mill IPA but it turned out to be really solid.

Draft - Citrus peel and a bit dank. Clear gold with a decent white head. Weedy, dank notes and bitterness that fades quickly. Decent.
