Bottled. A hazy dark amber beer with a huge yellowish head. The aroma has notes of dusty hops, caramel, and fruits. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, over ripe fruits, caramel, and yeast, leading to a dry yeasty finish.

Bottled @ home. Clear orange amber color, medium off-white head. Aroma is spicy and peppery with some caramel and toasted malts. Taste is quite dry, again peppery with some caramel. Slight metallic hint, little sourish. Reasonable bitterness, stands out a bit more because of the dryness. It’s like being a mix of a Dupont-like peppery saison (could it be wyeast belgian saison yeast?) with a touch of caramelly sweetness. Interesting.

33 cl bottle from De Bierkoning. Amber color, off white head. Aroma’s of caramel/malt aromatic hops and sweet & dried fruit. Flavor is somewhat sweet with a hint of fruity tartness. Fairly full bodied. Flavor lingers on before getting dry and mildly bitter. Very nice.
