Weizen

Appearance: Cloudy orange golden color with a thick white head that leaves a fine lacing.
Aroma: Wheat, yeast, mild acidic, some spices and banana.
Palate: Medium to full body. Tad sweet and an ok bitterness. Average to rich carbonation.
Taste: Wheat, mild citrus, a bit fruity, some spicy notes, yeast and balanced mild banana.
Overall impression: Nice refreshing and tasty. Not as much acidity as a Belgian wit and not as sweet as a German hefe weisse.

Tap tasted at Nederlandse Bierproffestival on 17/05/2014. Lots of banana in the taste and the aroma. Little spicy on the mouth. Clear white head medium creamy. Light body and carbonation is medium. Next one please!

Pours cloudy gold color . Flavor is clovey, slight lemony, white pears, dry wheat, its good.

Vandaag gedronken op terras. Heerlijke weizen smaak, iets zurig en bittere bijsmaak die ik typisch vind voor Brand bier. Blijft lang hangen. Levendig bier met mooie schuimkraag. Normaal ben ik voor Franziskaner echter deze is zo mogelijk nog lekkerder.

Draught, Movenpick Hotel, Amsterdam. Murky yellow looks with a small white head. Aroma was light banana and a little clove. Sweetish, grainy flavour, rather bland. Drinkable but ultimately forgettable and not the greatest example of the style.

Pours a hazy pale yellow with a white head that dissipates slowly to the edges and laces slightly. Aroma has a good amount of musty wheat with backing clove and banana. Flavor has banana an wheat up front. Wheat becomes musty and is joined by a touch of clove.

Flat weizen beer, tastes like the flavor was added with chemical extracts, instead with real ingredients.
