Heerlijk rustig genieten.

Big offwhite creamy lasting head. Hazy opaque orange body. Oily orangey banana aroma with milky mealy notes. Dryish-sweetish mealy orangey taste with spicy herbal notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, mealy mouthfeel. Dryish mealy orangey aftertaste with spicy milky notes. Nice. Highly drinkable, and very clean. Well balanced. (0.3l draft at CafΓ© Hoppe, Amsterdam.)

22 Oct 2012 saw me, my wife and 26 other members of the CAMRA Investors club have a wonderful afternoon as guests of the brewery: after a film show and giuded tour of the brewery we adjourned to the tasting celler bar where we were given seven different brews to taste: I had plenty of each apart from this one. I donβt want to be unkind to the brewery because we were looked after so well but: this beer is a poor imitation of what I expect a good Weizen to be like. It may look the part: a cloudy light orange brew with a thinning head but it lacks aroma, flavour and depth. Weak vanilla esters in the nose and a slight yeasty feel to the taste donβt add up to a good beer, sorry.

Draft at Paraplu, The Hague. Pours cloudy yellow golden with a big white head. Aroma of yeast, wheat and banana. Flavour is light sweet and bitter, a little spice coming out and a strange almost fishy finish. Not a good example of the style.

30 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ Mitra. Hazy yellow with a white head. Grassy aroma with some faint banana. No typical banana yeast taste but still quite refreshing. Round aftertaste. Decent a-typical weizen but at the same time a bit boring.

33cl bottle @ home shared with Thompson. Hazy yellow / orange color, small white head that disappears almost instantly. Smell banana, sweetness, sweet chewing gum. Taste malts, sweetness, lightly banana. Low body, low carbo.

Bottle, 5.1%. Refreshing spicy and bubble gum aroma. Coriander and sweet esters. Like a mix between Belgian and German wheat beer. Almost clear golden colour. Small stable white head. The flavour is a lot like the aroma, spicy and with a bit of sweetness. Also a bit of bitterness. OK cleansing finish,

Hazy yellow colour, white head. Aroma rather sweet malts, wheat, fruity yeast. Sweet banana. Flavour quite sweet, malts, wheat, light caramel, sweet banana. Slight hop bitterness. Decent, though rather one-dimensional, the sweetness is not quite balanced by the other flavours.
