33cl Bottle at De Drie Dorstige Herten, as Rhythm & Blues Barrel Aged. Clear copper reddish amber colour, dense off-white head. Aroma of roosvicee, sweet malts, light honey, vanilla, oak, toffee, hint of sugary metal. Flavour is medium-sweet, vanilla, oak, sweet malts, white raisins, watered down roosvicee, light bitter finish. Medium-bodied. Not as good as I hoped, but then again this is not a style I really like.

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Pours a cloudy and almost opaque amber with a small and creamy off-white head. Very spicy, woody nose with a pleasant vanilla touch. Medium body only, very fruity, pleasant subtle and very spicy with a slightly tart edge. The alcohol is surprisingly well hidden. 040213

33 cl bottle. Pours hazy orange with a small white head. Aroma is toasted malty and caramelish. Fruity, light cheesy and toasted malty. Sweet malty, caramelish and light fruity. Lingering fruity and medium sweet.

Bottle shared with Deanso. Pours hazy amber with an off white head. Aroma is sweet malt, vinous, fruity. Flavour seems a touch sour and moderate sweet. Not sure if this bottle may be off, according to Deanso it’s different than one tried previously. Seems like white wine barrel aged but don’t know from the bottle. Certainly not what I expected.

Clear amber colour, white head. Aroma of bourbon, wood, caramel and vanilla. Sweet malty flavour, some wood. Very alcoholic. Finish wood, sweet, bourbon, vanilla and alcohol.

Bottle at the De Molen second Tuesday tasting. Wow. What a beer! The aroma is warm and rich with vanilla notes. The flavour is ultra rich, ultra smooth with buttery oak and cognac. This beer really warms the heart. Truly outstanding!

Draught @ De Molen. Brand new brew. Clear medium orange color with a full sized solid slightly off-white head that leaves good lacing. Smell slightly malts, slightly sweet, subtle bourbon that gets more prominent when it warms. Taste lightly malts, slightly sweet, nice balanced bourbon finish with some warming alcohol as well. Body might just be a little bit thin, medium carbonation. Dangerously easy drinkable, doesn’t taste like 10,2% ABV to me.
