375ml corked green bottle. (As Oude Kriek Cuvee Rene) Pours a beautiful, unclear, dark ruby with some tiny yeast particles floating around and a small, fizzy, pink head that fully dissipates. Tart, acidic, fruity aroma of cherry, wheat malt and funk. Sweet fruity flavour of cherry skins, red wine, wheat malt, vinegar, funk and oak with a clean, crisp, dry, sour, acidic finish. Light to medium body with a watery texture and lively carbonation. Nice complexity. Very refreshing.

375ml bottle from the Legacy LRS. Vintage 2016. Bottled on 2017-03-23. Pours a deep red with a very weak rose head. Aroma is cherries, barrel, typical for Krieks. Taste is very crispy and woody with lots of funk. Cherries are present, but the tartness is overwhelming here. I bet that Americans would love this beer, taking into account the extreme level of sourness. However, I would prefer this one not that tart and dry, but with more sweetness and cherries. Not sure how good was an idea regarding not adding the sugar into this. In my opinion, it would be better balanced with at least some residual sweetness coming from whatever sugar added or more sweet cherries.

RBSG bus tour stop at PreFunk-Nampa, bottle share. Thanks to Rick. Nice burgundy body, small pinkish head. Huge cherry aroma, some barrel notes, funk and sourness evident. Taste reflects the aroma, a little savory spice added for full effect, plenty of pucker too. Nice!

BOTTLE 37 CL. Slightly hazy dark ruby, pink head. The nose is quite fruity and sweet, cherries, sweet and tart dried cherries, some funk in the back. The taste is the opposite - massively sour - lacto, green fruit, lime, very little cherry if any.
