Bottle from ABC Beers, Den Haag. Poured a clear dark mahogany with a thin light tan head. The aroma is rich sweet caramel malt. The flavour is moderate bittrer with a rich peaty earthy caramel malt, coffee bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

(Draught at Stockholm Beer Festival, 4 Oct 2014) Black colour with frothy, off-white head. Malty, roasted nose with dark chocolate, black coffee, liquorice and a touch of soy sauce. Malty, roasted taste with notes of liquorice, soy sauce, chocolate, black coffee, burnt sugar and a balanced cocoa bitterness in the finish. Full body, with balanced sweetness. Tasty and well balanced, despite a certain alcohol punch. Very nice. Rerate: (Bottle, 4 Nov 2018) Black colour with brief, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of soy sauce, chocolate truffles, coffee, spices (anise, tamarind), dried figs, cacao and orange peel. Malty, roasted taste with cacao, dark chocolate, soy sauce, coffee, figs, dark berries, orange peel, spices and a sweetish finish with a mild bitterness. More than medium body, quite sweet. Solid and tasty porter. Very nice.

Bottle. Black oily pour, no head. Aroma of sweet chocolate and caramel, nice. Tastes sweet, with milk chocolate, red fruit, caramel, a subtle touch of peaty smoke and some bitters in the finish. Diverse and rich taste, very good. Warming aftertaste. Indeed one of Spain’s best.

Bottle at home, birthday present from sister and parents. Pours black with almost no head. Aroma of coffee, vanilla, nuts, caramel, alcohol, smoke. Taste sweet with roasted bitterness in the aftertaste. Medium-bodied, smooth-oily mouth-feel.

The best Spanish beer according to this site, from a country of course better known for its wine culture, so very curious about this. Very dark burgundy colour, as good as black, under a greyish beige, thinnish yet stable head. Lovely sweet and perfumey aroma of candied cherries, cured meat, chocolate sauce, coffee liqueur, gingerbread, port wine, caramel candy, soy sauce, bayleaf, mandarin, liquorice. Dense taste of candied dates, raisins and chocolates, oily and thick mouthfeel, medium carbonation, deep nutty and chocolatey maltiness, spicy finish with peppery and somewhat citrusy hops, warming bourbon-like alcohol and lots of residual malt goodness, mainly chocolatey and caramelly. High quality porter, concentrated, seductively sweet but well balanced with nice bitter and with very well hidden alcohol. I am happily surprised to find that even Spain has its first excellent craft beers nowadays.

Bottle at the Pozarevac tasting without Matt (Matt, come back!). Pours black with a minimal and short lasting brown foam. Nose: dust, smoked cheese background, leather. Mouth: dry, chocolate background, dry overall, tart notes of roasted malts. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tap at irreale. Black, dark golden cream. Caramel roast nose. Dark chocolate, Orange peel, licorice notes, light anise. Dry on the top, fullbodied, spicy finish retronasal. Licorice cough drop aftertaste. I guess this is exactly what you should expect from a imperial Porter, but I can’t help thinking this is a very silly style, pretty much a topfermented strong Baltic Porter?

NOV-2017. BOTTLE 33 CL. Inky black, dark espresso head. Rich sticky chocolate and caramel, also q bit of glue and nail polish - one harsh porter. Medium sweet chocolate, light dark molasses, moderate hoppy woody bitterness. Some soft boozy heat. Ok. 7-5-7-4-15=3,8.
NOV-2014. BOTTLE 33CL.
Chocolate, dried slightly smoked prunes, hints of vanilla and alcohol. Restrained and miled roasted character. Quite sweet, balanced by a correct amount of bitterness. Nothing earth-shattering, just and excellent night-beer. 8-4-8-4-15=3,9
