16/V/2012 - on tap as "Wieckse Servaas" @ De Ambassadeur (Terneuzen) - BB: n/a (2012-508)
Note: apparently "Wieckse Servaas" is not a beer, the "Servaas" is just the name of the glass. Thanks for being so confusing, Heineken. Maybe they'd better focus on making good beer instead of making glassware with a name.
Clear milky yellow beer, nice creamy white head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: lots of yeast, some coriander, lemon zest, bit peppery. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: very spicy start, coriander, citrus peel, pretty bitter with a sweet undertone. Aftertaste: bit sweet, malty, yeast, some banana, pretty watery in all.

On draught at Hard Rock Cafe in Amsterdam. The beer is a hazy yellow-gold color with a medium thin and fizzy white head that burns away steadily. Spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma of wheat, citrus and a hint of spice. Light body with flavors of sweet citrus fruit, wheat and yeast. The finish is sweet with touches of malt and yeast in the aftertaste. Fairly average overall.

Bottle 33cl, bought in Bodegraven, Holland.#Doree, brumeuse, mousse blanche. Arôme citronné, note épice et levure, le palais reste similaire pour une witbier moyenne avec une point de coriandre et écorce d’orange. Palais reste épais avec des notes de froment.

Bottle. It pours a hazy, golden-orange body and a dense, white, finger-thick head. Pale malts, citrus, mostly orange, and some coriander in the aroma. The flavor is pretty much the same, but much more focused on the orange. Medium body, a bit heavily carbonated. A refreshing and quite decent beer that shouldn’t scare anyone, beer newbie or not. 110502

It’s said that this beer was to compete with Hoegaarden, but it’s nowhere near. Taste isn’t the worst, but is just not gettin’ there. Color and smell are bad. Palate not great either.
