Swirling clouds tumble as the storm begins to calm. Settle. Breathe in the moment, then break through the smooth, light head to the bittersweet reward.

Unmistakeably GUINNESS, from the first velvet sip to the last, lingering drop. And every deep-dark satisfying mouthful in between.

Pure beauty. Pure GUINNESS.

Schwarze Farbe mit cremiger, beiger, langlebiger Schaumkrone. In der Nase Röstmalz, Kaffee. Ähnlicher Geschmack mit Röstmalz, Kaffee, etwas Schokolade, leichter Bitterkeit und trockenem Abgang, bisweilen etwas wässrig. Dennoch gut und unkompliziert zu trinken.

440 ml draught. Black colour with small creamy head. Roasted malt, coffee, smoke. Malty, with sour hint. Flat carbonation, oily and thin texture. Could be a bit more fizzy, but it is still good. Better than from bottle.

Can. After realizing that I’ve never rated this old acquaintance, I decided to rectify this mistake immediately. Of course it pours opaque dark brown with creamy beige head thanks to its ingenious ball-in-the-can contraption. very faint vanilla-roasted malt aroma, low carbonation, lightly bitter roasted malt taste, smooth body, medium finish. Extremely smooth as everyone knows.

Puszka. Czarne, nieprzej?yste. O dziwo czu? delikatnie nuty chmielowe, cho? pojawiaj? si? te? jab?kowo-gruszkowe estry. Ogrzane pachnie pra?onym s?onecznikiem. W smaku troch? karmelu, troch? spieczonego chleba, ca?o?? z lekko kwaskowym finiszem.

[backlog] 23-09-15 / draft at Porterhouse Mainz. Just a guinness. Dark brwon black colour with beige head. Creamy roasty malt aroma. I started rating my beers with Untappd and a few basic notes. Now I want to rate them on ratebeer. So my rating sometimes lack some information. Just ignore it, it is for my personal statistics. Untappd-Rating 3.5/5

14.9 ounce can into imperial pint glass, canned on 5/26/2016. Pours crystal clear very dark brown color with a 1 finger dense and creamy light tan head that lasts the whole glass. Thick creamy lacing clings down the glass. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, and toasted dark bread; with light nuttiness, smoke, dark fruit, herbal, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of roast/bready malt and light earthy hop/fruity yeast notes; with solid strength. Taste of dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, and toasted dark bread; with light nuttiness, smoke, dark fruit, herbal, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness. Light herbal/roast bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, toasted dark bread, light nuttiness/smoke/herbal, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Good robustness and balance of roast/bready malt and light earthy hop/fruity yeast flavors; with a nice roasted bitter/sweet balance, and zero astringent flavors after the finish. Moderate dryness from roast/bitterness, increasing through the glass. Light carbonation and body; with a very smooth, fairly grainy/chalky, and slightly sticky mouthfeel that is okay. Very thin with no creaminess at all. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4.2%. Overall this was a decent Irish dry stout. All around good robustness and balance roast/bready malt and light earthy hop/fruity yeast flavors; very smooth and easy to drink. This was too thin and bit watery than I expected; but it was still quite enjoyable overall, and a good style example.
