We wanted to create a light, crisp, punchy, go to beer! A beer that you know you can pick up and appreciate or simply kick back, relax and oil your neck with (the name Neck Oil come’s from our founder, Logan, fondly remembering his Grandad stating that he was “off down the pub for a pint of neck oil”). Extra pale base malts are used to keep it crisp and give the hops a great platform to dance on. Masses of hop additions during the whirlpool and a huge dose of dry hops make this a brilliantly ‘easy’ IPA.

Canned 02.01.18. Super easy drinking. Light, crisp, hoppy with a good bitterness. Grapefruity. Very dry. Very light, but not watery at al. Very well done, all day beer indees.

On tap at Fakin Zagreb. Lemon yellow coloured, small white head, mild hoppy nose. Malty, bready, citrusy, light perfumed hoppy and notes of herbs with soft bitterness in the finish. Easy-drinkable and refreshing.

On tap at Fakin. Hazy pale golden body. Citric, oniony, herbal aroma, hop-driven and mild. Liiiight citrus, slightly grainy, a bit herbal, light sweetish touch. Well balanced, light, not the best session IPA I've had, but classy and flawless.

On tap at Fakin Craft Bar, Zagreb. Shared with lovely Anja. Hazy golden, small off-white head. Hops first, moderately hoppy. Citrus, light herbs or pine 🌲, spicy. Malts underneath, bready. Light bitterness, good balance. Light body, not too light, though. Moderate carbonation, spicy finish.

Bright golden, very hazy for the style. Medium head, decent retention and some lacing. Aroma has a light crackery malts base, a fresh herbal/grassy and slightly resinous feel, citric notes (especially grapefruit). Reasonably intense. Taste follows the aroma closely, with the slightest spiciness showing up. Overall balanced in terms of sweetness/bitterness, surely sweet for the style. Light bodied but not too watery with medium to high carbonation. Overall surely ok and enjoyable, but very much unimpressive. It just lacks anything worth remembering.

From tap at Brussels Beer Project. Unclear pale yellow color with white head. Hoppy aroma, grass, floral, tropical fruits. Sweet and bitter taste like aroma. Light thin to oily body with soft carbonation.

On tap at Fly In The Loaf. Pours a near clear pale yellow with a white head that lasts throughout the beer. Aroma has earthy citrus and wet grass supported by light sweet grains. Flavor has grass and straw with earthy citrus underlying.

Pours clear pale yellow with a foamy, white head. The aroma contains lemon (peel), citrus, freshly cut grass & flowers, peach, mango & pineapple. It tastes light fruity sweet and medium hoppy bitter with a medium long finish. Light body, slick texture, fizzy carbonation. Quenching, but more than a refreshment!

Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 21A, adapted). Can 33 cl - Batch L1681 (BBF 25.01.18). AROMA: medium hop aroma with fresh, piny notes. soft, low malt background. slight cereal husk. APPEARANCE: pale gold color and slightly hazy. medium white head with average retention. TASTE: medium-low hop flavor with notes similar to the aroma (pine, some resin, faint grapefruit). low background neutral malt presence. medium bitterness with a dry and slightly bitter finish. PALATE: medium-low body. medium-low carbonation. OVERALL: a nice session IPA.
