8 Ball - Big, Bold & Ballsy
One of our earliest recipes, we wanted to push this big IPA all the way. So we packed it full of Rye and dry hopped it for days with American hops, using old pool balls to weigh the hop sack down in the beer. Hence the name.

Aroma: Citrusy, tropical fruits, later sweet malty, rye.
Appearance: Cloudy golden color. Medium, off-white head.
Taste: Medium sweet, malty, rye, medium bitter, hops, light citrusy, spicy.
Palate: Medium-full body. Bitter, light warm finish.
Overall: Good. Tasty. Heavier.

330ml can from Favourite beers. Hazy/cloudy dark orange colour with a one-two finger off-white head. Aroma of spicy orange, bread, rye, pine, citrus. Taste of citrus, orange, spices, biscuity/bready malt, other dark fruit. Bitterness is fairly low for the style, it’s a very well balanced IPA, easily drinkable, smooth mouthfeel.

330ml Can - Brown in colour. Rye, pine and nuts in the aroma. Nicely balanced taste with rye, walnuts, fudge, sultanas, pine and apricot detected.

Can. Rye spice, bread, and lots of earthy and orange hops. Pours a murky brownish-orange with a thick, creamy head and some fairly strong lace. Lighter sweetness lots of spice, and a mid-plus bitter finish. Medium body. Average carbonation.

From a 330ml bottle on 21/5/2016. Pours a gloudy deep golden with a medium head. The nose is primarily fruity hops. The flavour features mandarin and a bit of peach against some light biscuity malt. Has a pretty decent citric hop bitterness finishing things off, featuring just a touch of rye. the texture is slick and the carbonation modest. A pretty good IPA, but could use a little more punch.

Thnx to phille. Pours unclear amber. Good white head. Smell is bitter, rather fruity. Taste is bitter, full, grainy. Nice hoparoma. Perhzps a bit thin taste. Not bad.

Draft @ Tilquin English Fest ’16, day2. Ambrée, col crémeux beige. Arôme au nez fin houblonné, seigle en rétro apportant une petite note épicée, agrumes en continu; C-hops et léger tropical. Palais au profil épicé, seigle, fin houblonné. Épais au niveau des grains en partie venant du seigle et une certaine rondeur du malt crystal. Note collante aux lèvres avec un accompagnement houblonné apportant une belle fraicheur d’agrumes + saveurs tropicales et herbacées.

Can from Beers’n’more. A fat an healthy heavy IPA with indeed some rye character. It falls off behind the dense aroma and taste, but is still noticeable. Lots of residual sweetness next to some tropical fruits and a healthy carbonation. Very nice!

Tap. Dark amber, offwhite cream. Citrus and flowers, papery caramel, resinny, leafy,light metallic British good balance, nice.
