8 Ball - Big, Bold & Ballsy

One of our earliest recipes, we wanted to push this big IPA all the way. So we packed it full of Rye and dry hopped it for days with American hops, using old pool balls to weigh the hop sack down in the beer. Hence the name.

Go ahead and sink a few, be rude not to really

A brown-orange beer with a dense, medium and blond head. Aroma has tropical mangos and other sweet fruits, pineapples, some bready rye that is weaking the freshness. Taste has fruits, same bready rye as in the aroma, medium bitterness that isn’t very fruitful but more like herbal. Medium+ bodied, low carbonation, smooth enough. Rye isn’t very balanced but otherwise nicely presented that is positive.

Can @Bir&Fud Bottega. Amber appearance with a decent off-white head. Nose is pungent, hops, pine, resin, some malt (caramel), grass. Flavour is heavy bitter but well balanced, clean and persistent, malt, caramel, some astringency in the end. Medium body, medium carbonation. It has a lot of character! Well done!

Can at home. The colour is dark amber and is quite unclear. Has also a creamy, compact, off-white head. Sudden fruity aroma with lots of hops, grapefruit, pine, lime, rye bread, caramel and harpix. The flavour is also pretty malty with more grassy hops, pine, roasted malt and some caramel. A little dry in the end. Has a rich and soft mouth feel. A really tasteful and malty IPA. Well hopped as well.
