Bottle at the 2nd Annual Garvie Christmas Tasting. Pours black with a thin beige head. Aromas of light smoke, whisky, boozy liquorice. Taste is light smoke, whisky, wood. Boozy finish.

Donkerbruin tot zwart met volle schuimige bruine kraag. Aroma wat ingetogen allemaal, mout, chocolade, mout, alcohol, vanille, beperkte whisky. Smaken vallen enorm tegen, veel co2, chocolade, laurier, alcohol, iets scherp. Nee tegenvaller

Bottle from het Biermoment, BB 26/10/2017, large sample. Dark color, big frothy brown head. Aroma of soft peat and smoke, roast, licorice, coffee. Dry and peaty in taste, roast, molasses, roasty and coffee bitterness. Quite soft on the bruichladdich, which fits the base beer very well. Mostly, peat is way too overpowering, but this one is just a subtle note (in the way possible for bruichladdich). Good balance. Tasty. Good beer.
