Das Bayerisch Nizza Wheat Pale Ale ist ein helles, leichtes und obergäriges, auf Weizenmalzbasis und nach Reinheitsgebot gebrautes Bier, mit 5,3 % Alkohol. Durch eine großzügigie Kalthopfung mit drei amerikanischen Aromahopfen transportiert es eine einzigartige Fruchtigkeit, die unter anderem an Grapefruit, Thymian und Pinie erinnert.

0,33 l bottle (BB 24/6/2014). Really hazy, pale yellow-orange with a thick white, diminishing head. Nice sweetish, fruity IPA-like aroma of passion fruit, mango and some lemon peel. Taste starts slightly sweet with hints of grapefruit and mango. Medium bitter finish. Pleasant. Almost sparkling mouthfeel, a bit watery though. Nice beer. I expected less because of the relatively low rating and the embarrassing bottle but I would drink it again.

Bottled (from bierzwerg.de). Hazy yellow colour with a mediumsized white head. Aroma is fruity, floral, wheat, some spices, yeast and mild spices. Flavour is fruity, floral, some caramelly and mild yeasty notes. Gets better with the yeast in.

Bottle from Deeside Drinks Emporium. Hazy yellow golden body with a thin white head. Nice lacing. Aroma of Pink Lady apple, lemon and orange. Flavour of mandarin, rose Turkish Delight and white pepper. Medium body with a smooth texture. Soft fizz. A fruity, hoppy wheat beer.

Bottle: Cloudy, golden, small creamy and stable white head; wheaty-yeasty nose with traces of herbal and lemony hops underneath; mild to moderate sweet-bitter flavour, almost no acidity, light to medium bodied; slightly lingering fruity-hoppy finish, followed by a yeasty tartness in the aftertaste. A kind of heavily diluted Hopfenweisse..

33cl bottle from Cork and Cask. Appearance - cloudy peachy orange with a nice lacy head. Looks like a wit. Nose - ripe tropical fruit probably talking about mango or passion fruit. Also creamy background. Taste - more like apricot or mandarin yoghurt. Palate - medium bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - better than most wheat ales I’ve had. Tasty.
