Die Röstgerste geben wir erst der Dekoktionsmaische zum Erreichen der Alphaamylase bei um den brenzligen Geschmack zu verhindern. Übrig bleiben intensive Lakritz und Vanillenoten. Der Antrunk ist frisch röstmalzig, während im Abgang ein leicht rauchiger tanninhaltiger Geschmack zurückbleibt. Der schwere cremefarbene Schaum ist stabil und wirkt sich positiv auf die Rezenz aus.

Bottle from Biermuda. Smooth caramelly beginning. Soft malty texture with roasted parts. Deep and rich, roasted grain and caramel. Smooth bitter in the end. Very nice one

330ml bottle. Quasi black colour with average to huge, thick, creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, off-white to beige head. Roasty, minimally grainy, dark malty aroma, a touch of coffee and dark chocolate, caramel, whiiffs of vinegar. Taste is slightly bitter and minimally sourish, roasty dark malty, hints of coffee, a touch of sorrel, caramel overtones with virtually imperceptible residual sweetness; minimally sticky palate. Slightly strange sourish touch - somewhere between innovative aspect concerning the interpretation of the style and suspicion of infection. Meh!

0.5 l bottle from the brewery's web shop. Clear, dark reddish brown to black with a medium large, dense, stable, beige head. Sweetish-malty, slightly roasty aroma of caramel, toasted nuts and some cocoa. Medium sweet, malty, gently roasty taste of caramel, toasted nuts, cocoa and traces of raisins, followed by a short, moderately bitter, slightly roasty and minimally grassy finish. Medium body, smooth and slightly creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Nice Schwarzbier with a great balance, chapeau!
