Bottle from The Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours clear bright copper with a nice foamy white head. Aroma is pine and roasty malt. Approaching full bodied. Smooth texture. Flavor is pine/resin, roasty malt/caramel, and something a bit like green hoppy veg. It is dry and bitter. And then it's a bit malty and bitter. Really nice - seems rather old school. Good that.

Grapefruit and malt. Oh God an IPA with malt! Thank the gods! Sharp bitter finish. Some peel. Golden amber pour with decent head. Bottle.

A purchase yesterday at a Las Vegas Total Wine. I have cooled off significantly and will pour into a highball glass. It serves up a mostly clear orange-gold liquid followed by a magnificent parchment brown head. A fine scent, hops, pine and tropical. A drink turns up a nice jolt of hoppiness, pineapple, a pleasant sweetness, grass, all with a moderate bitterness. Good, short of great.

Tap at FOB, Rimini, Italy. Pours dark gold, medium transparency, with fine, creamy, white foam. Aroma is very hoppy, with resinous and piney feelings. Body is fairly dense, a nice mouthful, with fine tickling carbonation. Taste is aggressively bitter, but with a very nice underlying sweetness. Final is long and bitter.

12 ounce bottle. Clear amber orange color. Rocky beige head is long lasting with nice clinging lace. Toasted malt aroma hints at caramel and spicy pine hops. Bittersweet toasted malt flavor. Hints of brown sugar are quickly overtaken by intense waves of grapefruit rind and dank, spicy hops. Lots of gratuitous alcohol notes as well. Somewhat light-bodied for such a high alcohol (9.2% ABV) hop bomb. Finishes intensely bitter with notes of resiny pine, lime pith and Black pepper.

Rose hip nose. Clear deep amber, medium head. Rose hip, dark honey, grass, pine. A touch metallic. Full body, easy carbonation, oily. Nice balance for the style.

Orange, biscuit malt, grapefruit peel, pine, and quinine aroma. Golden yellow with large off-white head. Moderately sweet orange, biscuit malt, and very bitter grapefruit peel, pine, and quinine flavor. Great body and balance.

Super deep copper, bronze and light brown coloured body with a thinnish, two centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of alcohol, pine, resin, pineapple, grass and a good deal of candy as well. Medium-bodied; Rich resinous hop notes show through with pineapple, pine and grapefruit also noticeable. Some dry malt, biscuits, grain and a dash of hay all noticeable, but the resinous hoppiness, sticky, syrupy sweetness and especially alcohol bite are much stronger. Aftertaste is rich and very piney with a lot of hop bitterness along with a dash of pepper and deep flavours, but the alcohol and deep syrupy sweetness are both very strong. A lot of character and deep flavours are noticeable, but the bitterness and pungent hops are by far the strongest. Overall, a good enough Imperial IPA with a lot of pungent flavours, but nothing unique or too nice so surpass most others in the style. Nice to try, but not worth trying to find or saving for any sort of special occasion. Nice to sample, and I'll see how these other three (I bought the full four pack!) change over time, but I'm not expecting too much, honestly. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Costco in Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia on 28-April-2020 for US$9,49 (four pack) sampled at my house here in Washington a few blocks away on 04-June-2020.
