Bottle shared @ Koelschtrinker's Tasting. Smooth malty nose. The beer starts malty with a grainy back. Easy to drink with lots of grains with a caramelly sweetness in the back, round and smooth with lots of grain in the aftertaste. Ok.

(bottle, 33cl) Clear, golden colour with a blond and firm mid-sized foamy head. Strawy and subtle grainy pale malty aroma with doughy notes and a whiff of grassy hops in the background. Slightly sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a tame carbonation. Strawy and slightly papery malt character with notes of sour dough and hints of onions towards the slightly sweet and restrained bitter finish. Meh. 05.II.18

Fläschken: Clear, golden with a faint ruby sheen, small and persistent white head, visible carbonation; mild strawy and honeyish nose with a grassy background; moderate sweet-bitter flavour, medium bodied, not soft; lingering drier bitter grassy and pale-malty finish. Not a real Maerzen, more a mediocre Imperial Pils...

Sampled from 0.33 l bottle from local 'Trink & Spare', best before April 2018. Clear, golden with a medium large, frothy, slowly diminishing, white head. Sweetish, slightly grassy-spicy aroma of grains and some straw. Moderately sweet, slightly bitter, moderately grassy-spicy taste of grains and some straw, followed by a short, moderately bitter, slightly grassy-spicy and minimally metallic finish. Medium body, smooth and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Okay!
