Bottle @ Braustelle. Hazy amber colour, almost no head. Tart, fruity, notes of white wine, some vinegar. Bit unbalanced and messy but nice enough.

0.375 l bottle from ’Hopfenrausch’, cellared for almost two years. Hazy, dark brownish red with a medium large, foamy, almost stable, off-white head. Sweetish, slightly sourish, a little funky, quite fruity and vinous aroma of caramel, vinegar, wood, red grapes, eucalyptus and licorice root. Slightly sweetish, quite sour, minimally funky, vinous and quite fruity taste of caramel, red grapes, balsamic vinegar, oak, licorice root, redcurrant and bitter almond, followed by a medium long, rather tart, woody-dry, vinous and slightly spicy finish. Medium body, quite astringent and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Way better than expected, quite complex and still refreshing, very enjoyable despite the odd spicy notes.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Tom’s place. Thanks Vova. Hazy amber. Aroma of caramel, malt, vinegar, fruits, wood, wine. Acidic and slightly sweetish flavor with wine, wood, fruits, some cellary character, and a bitterish touch. Medium-bodied. Nice.

Sweetish-sour beginning. The beer is quite sour with woody elements. Interesting but not very deep. The sourness is intense and hides all the flavours of the involved beers. Wood with hints of bitterness in the end. Fruity-nice and not as bad as I have thought.
