Richmodis Bräu, the former brewery of Richmodis Kölsch, was an independant brewery until 1998 when it was bought by Privatbrauerei Gaffel. Richmodis Kölsch was discontinued in 2010, in 2012 REWE bought the naming rights. Since then it's brewed for the REWE supermarket chain.

Foamy white head on an unclear golden coloured body.
Biscuit & berry aroma.
Medium bodied, smooth with a foamy dry back.
Blueberry, wet cardboard, cereal & grain tastes with a fruity finish.

Big thank you to Erzengel for this 0,5 l bottle. BB 09/2025. Clear golden in the glass, one finger white foamy head. Grainy malt aroma. Taste is also malty, fruity in the second row, balanced with some sweetness. No realups and downs, just simple. Below average carbonated. Soft bitterness. Nice and easy to drink.

Huge thanks to Erzengel for that one! Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass with a nice head. Starts mild, fine malty, light sweetish touch. Spicy notes as well, wheaty-malty finish. Well balanced. Quite drinkable. Not bad.

Überaus mildes Kölsch, außer einer leichten Fruchtigkeit nahezu neutral, leicht süßlich und getreidig. Sehr süffig zu trinken und fehlerfrei, aber ziemlich langweilig.

Bottle 0,5ltr: Clear golden colored brew with an nicely dry bitter taste, that have that northern German hoppiness with an little bit of citrusy.

50 cl. can @ Mülheim, bought @ Rewe. Clear golden with a white head. Standard kölsch but decent enough.

Tall 500ml can from a supermarket in Cochem, drank at home on 21st October 2022. I thought it a lot better than I expected. Bright golden body, large but quickly fading white crown. Malty and sweet with a slight hop bitterness. Like most beers of this style, it's not got much actually going on, nothing exciting or different, it's a Kölsch!

Bottle, 500 ml, shared with Miro. Clear golden, short lasting small white head. Malty, sweet, vague citrus notes. Light bodied.
