50cl swing top bottle courtesy of Erzengel! A almost clear dark golden beer with a small most good lasting off-white head. Aroma of mild caramelish malt, toasted malt, herbs. Taste of toasted malt, spices, some herbs, medium bitterness, high carbonation, strange!

(tap at the brewpub, as Benno´s Dunkel) Almost cloudy, amber colour with a short and firm off-white foamy head. Slightly yeasty, delicately toasty malty aroma with doughy spots and delicately nutty notes. Slightly sweet and delicately bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a calm carbonation. Slightly toasted and cautious nutty malty taste with traces of caramel and a very subtle hops profile, except for some shades of herbal spice; slightly sweet and delicately tart and toast-malty finish with subtle herbal hops in the background. On tap at the brewpub as ’Benno’s Dunkles’. Hazy, golden amber with a white head. Sweetish, slightly malty and a little fruity aroma of caramel, a bit of nuts and some piney hops. Sweetish, slightly malty and a little fruity taste of caramel, nuts and some piney hops, followed by a short, slightly bitter finish. Medium body, slightly creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Okay, but not what you would expect from a Dunkel.

Hell hopfig-malziger Beginn, Bier und hefig. Mild würzig, die Hefigkeit bleibt auch im Mittelteil stark. Eher kurzer Nachhall. 10/8/9/8//8

On tap at the brewpub. Smooth mild yeasty beginning. Round and fresh, mild, very smooth. Nice yeast with a mild malty smooth body. Great and fresh, smooth with not too much sweetness. Great mild smooth aftertaste. Well made brew! Smooth and slightly grainy.
