Tap. Unclear brown color with off-white head. Aroma is big fudge, raisins, vineous. Taste is raisins, fudge, toffee, port body somehow, sweetish finish. Oily mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Not bad actually, but could take a tad bitterness. I like the character though.

Draft @ Braustelle. Dark brown colour, thin head. Sweet nose of plums, dark fruit, wood, some cognac. Well balanced. Nice sipper.

Aroma is smoke, forest honey and lots of dark fruit, some tanines, deep and complex. Taste is intense sweetness with a coffee bitter finish. Lots of phenlos. Rubber as well. Heavy. Somehow shallow though, not so full bodied and actually a little one dimensional. Overall still very interesting and nice with the abv well hidden.

On tap at the brewpub at 14% abv. Almost clear, deep red with a thin, beige head. Sweetish, a little sourish, malty and slightly fruity aroma of caramel, red, vinegar, wood and sour cherries. Sweetish-malty, a little sourish, a bit fruity taste of caramel, red fruits, sour cherries, wood and some vinegar, followed by a short, slightly bitter, a little tart finish and woody finish. Medium to full body, oily and a little spritzy finish, almost flat. Lovely!

Festival der Bierkulturen. Leicht trübes orange braunes Bier mit einer mittelgroßen beigen Schaumkrone. Geruch intensiv malzig, holzig, leicht säuerlich. Geschmack intensiv malzig, Obst, Karamell, leicht alkoholisch.
