Barrel Aged Affogato Imperial Stout is decadent, rich and full. Brewed with a blend of Barrington & Mostra beans, Affogato leads with aromas of vanilla, toasted marshmallows and subtle notes of bourbon. Barrel Aged Affogato has a full, satisfying body and an indulgent palate of vanilla cream, hot cocoa, rich brownie batter, with complimentary doses of smooth coffee and bourbon.

Tasting at Ryan's, bottle, 13.8% ABV
Pitch black colour. Aroma of dark sugars, of coffee, roasted malt, light cream, smoke. Good body strength; the dark sugars flavour dominates, getting into molasses and tar territory; coffee, and some lactose/cream flavour; prominent alcohol; also some acidity from the dark amlts and coffee, that I would be happier if not there.
Very good, but not elegant.

500ml (thx, Charles M. for the bottle and Max C. for a delivery!) @ Ryan's. Appearance: very dark brown with no head. Aroma: very nice, great coffee, bourbon, and cream. Taste: along the same lines, multiple layers complex aftertaste. Overall: very nice.

Poured from 500mL bottle. Black with almost no beige head. Vanilla, marshmallow, bourbon, coffee, mild chocolate, warming alcohol (ends up being a little too boozy, detracting). Very nice still.

Dark brown, no head. On the aroma, lots of bourbon, toasty nutty stuff. On the palate there's more bourbon, some tartness in here, and then vanilla, nuts. Light coffee in there, with chocolate, vanilla, bourbon and then alcohol. So lots of elements, good times.

Fles gedeeld door Keukeman. Het is een diep donkerbruin tot zwart bier zonder schuim. Het heeft een zoete houtige geur. De smaak is vol, houtig en rozijnen achtig.

500ml bottle pours out black topped with a small tan head. Nose is sweet chocolate vanilla roast bourbon barrel. Taste is more of the nice sweet chocolate vanilla roast coffee bourbon barrel balanced.

On tap at Wakefest. Pours black with medium tan head that lasts. The aroma is strong roast, dark chocolate, wood, vanilla. Slick body, cocoa, vanilla, brownie batter, boozy finish, enjoyed this.
