The guys at Mission Taco Joint asked me to make a beer to compliment their effen awesome food. After 13 years of R&D I designed and did NOT patent a beerification process that makes enjoying west coast tacos 36% more better than any other brewery.

From tap at the brewery. Clear golden color with white head. Hoppy and malty aroma, caramel, bread, grass, citrus. Sweet and light bitter taste. Medium oily body with soft carbonation.

Half pour at the source. Appearance is slightly hazy, yellow with mild sparkle, decent finger-width head with fair retention and lacing. Aroma is mild fruit, citrus and earthy bitterness. Taste was as aroma. Neither terribly flavorful nor bitter. Palate is light-to-medium bodied with thin texture, average carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, this was mildly bitter but not really a typical west coast offering, which is sort of a good thing for me. But, it wasn't very flavorful (east coast) either. My least favorite of the group I had there--the others were quite good.

On tap at Ferguson, pours a clear blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out earthy dank hops, some seltzer notes and a little herbal character. Flavour is dry and crisp, with earthy, herbal hops, dry biscuity malt and a bit of sweet resins. Nicely constructed and well-balanced. Solid.

750 bottle, courtesy of gregwilsonstl, pours with a slightly hazy deep gold body that supports a nice full light tan head of foam. The aroma offers up yeasty Brett as well as tangerines and some pineapple and mango. The taste is similar with a decent dose of Brett followed quickly by citrus that is mostly juicy hops nuanced by some tropical fruit notes. This has a nice balance between the bitter hops, juicy hop flavor and yeasty Brett notes.

Pour is a hazy orange with a huge white head. Aroma is zesty citrus hops. I can smell it from the glass. Flavor is all citrus hops and nothing else. Malt is here just to make the beer a bit chewy but this is all about hops. Well done, tasty and not a total alcohol bomb so finishing a bottle won’t hurt too much the next day.

Sample at Great Taste of the Midwest on 08/09/2014: Hazy straw color with a medium white head that dissipates steadily to an outer ring. Short strings of lacing. Aroma of hops, pine and malt. Medium body with flavors of resiny hops, citrus and sweet malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a citrusy hops aftertaste. Above average overall.
