Derivation is our series of Barrel-Aged Imperial Stouts in which we brew several recipes, age them in a variety of barrels, and blend them before bottling to add depth and structure to this massive style of beer. Blend #8 is a select blend of our barrel-aged stouts that were aged for 1 to 3 years before being blended and infused with coffee, coconut, and vanilla.

On tap at Side Project. Pours black with small tan head that diminishes quickly. The aroma is toasted coconut, chocolate, vanilla, wood, bourbon. Slick body, milk chocolate, coconut, roasted malt, vanilla, wood, boozy finish, enjoyed this.

Bottle @ Aarons Oldman Buttcrack Again System of a down share. Pours pitch black with a small brown head. Aromas of coconut, vanilla, milk chocolate, bourbon, light roast, fudge. Taste has lots of coconut, coffee bitterness, vanilla, dark roast, tar, soy-ish.

From 750ml bottle at the brewery with huge thanks to the guys of the brewery!!! Black color with brown small head that disappears. Malty aroma, roasted, coffee, coconut, vanilla, chocolate, wood, dark dried fruits, alcohol. Sweet and light bitter taste like aroma. Full silky oily to creamy body with soft to flat carbonation.
