From tap at the brewery. Light hazy dark amber-golden color with off white head. Yeasty aroma, tart and light sweet fruity, berries, currants, wood, vinous, light funk, some caramel notes. Sweet and acidic taste like aroma. Medium oily body with soft carbonation.

Draught at the brewery, 6/3/18.
Moderately hazy-to-cloudy, bright orange-rust with a small, pinkish ring of bubbles atop.
Nose is very dry, heavy pepper, with light cranberry skin, melon and biscuit and cereal-like malt/grain behind it. Sourness isn't overdone, with moderate lactic acidity and lightly fruity Brett. No alcohol or flaw. The fruit is very highly attenuated and doesn't show a ton of expression, but currants aren't always that expressive and it's probably been in the barrel quite a while. Low oak, no toast.
In the mouth it's very soft, dry, malty and biscuity with spicy, phenolic and tannic berry skin mixing with bacteria and wild yeast character. Moderate funk with a good balance and a strong tartness that gets more dry and spicy than it does puckering, on the end. No alcohol, flaw. Good fruit integration of what is there, though it's light and soft. Malty texture, tight carbonation.
