Le résultat est une bière complexe, fruitée et agréablement acide. Elle procure des sensations très intenses et rafraîchissantes.

Bottle shared at DC Annual Epic Sour Tasting. Dark brown with off-white head. Aromas of tart dark fruit, cherries, vinegar, sweet fruit. Tastes of tart fruit, sweet fruit, vinegar. Medium-light body with a dry finish.

Grabbed a bottle in a rush just based on silly name and style. Pours ruby copper with a small head. Nose is cherry syrup mostly. Tastes of melted Popsicle, cough syrup, some balsamic vinegar, light chocolate, and metal. Thin bodied and quite sweet finish. Odd duck.

Bottle from Corti Bros. Pours translucent brown with a creamy beige head. Nice mildly sour and somewhat malty aroma. Med body or less. Flavor is a little sour, more than a little, but the malt sort of got away. I’m thinking this is not the typical Vest Flanderin sour red. Lots better than no sour tho.

Brown red colour, white head. Aroma of red fruits, cherry, wood, light lactic acid. Light sour flavour, citric acid, brett and apricot. Light sweet. Bit thin, but refreshing. Fruity finish.

A new sour from silly? How silly. Seems I’ve been waiting 4-ever to try this, but now I see it’s brand new. Very friendly dark beer attitude, no sediment or visible sign of dregs. Has a fairly clear slight metallic olfactory. As I bring the drink to my lips my nose does detect a slight hint of tart perfume. First taste is mild friendly tart stuff with an almost hidden fruit texture. Good co2 and quite nice on the uptake. It does have this slight hint of malt bitterness in there but you can just barely detect it. Yes, interesting and fun on the tongue, getting quite lovely as time passes. Metal returns to the nose. Civilized and well behaved thru the session, even the finish leaves no real ill effects except that slight bitterness in there, that’s the only sign its an ale. Ranks right up there with most of my favorite mild tart beers. Yummy overall experience, could drink a sixer of these with ease and now I wish I had more as the bottom of the glass approaches.
