On tap at Vermont Tap House.
This was poured into a flared tulip.
The appearance was a dark burnt orange color, almost muddy. Bar pour’s kind of slim white head quickly dissipates. Some messy lace.
The aroma takes on some sweet peach, some subtle grassiness. Bitter lemon rind, subtle juiciness.
The flavor yields to the pressures of the bitterness, still subtle sweet hops and malts do a justice of blending nicely. Fully balanced bittersweet aftertaste flowing into the finish, but that’s fairly bitter, and dry.
On the palate, this one say about a light to medium on the body. Nicely carbonated. And a great amount of bitterness subjugating my tongue into submission.
Overall, this was a very good DIPA that I would have again.
