750 ml bottle into signature tulip glass; Blend #1, bottled 12/15/2014. Pours slightly hazy orange/copper color with a 1-2 finger dense and fluffy off white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big tart raspberry, cherry, lemon, green apple, plum, white wine, pepper, oak, hay, straw, leather, musty funk, light white vinegar, wheat, cracker, bread, and yeast/oak earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of fruity/funky/acidic yeast, sherry barrel, and moderate pale malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big tart raspberry, cherry, lemon, green apple, plum, white wine, pepper, oak, hay, straw, leather, musty funk, light white vinegar, wheat, cracker, bread, and yeast/oak earthiness. Moderate fruity/acidic tartness and yeast/tannic oak spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of tart raspberry, cherry, lemon, green apple, plum, white wine, pepper, oak, hay, straw, leather, musty funk, and yeast/oak earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Damn nice complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/funky/acidic yeast, sherry barrel, and moderate pale malt flavors; with a great malt/tart/spiciness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light-moderate dryness from tart/spiciness as well. Medium carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, fairly crisp/acidic/tannic, and lightly grainy/creamy balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 6.4%. Overall this is an excellent sour saison. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/funky/acidic yeast, sherry barrel, and moderate pale malt flavors; very smooth, crisp, and easy to drink with the balanced acidity. A very enjoyable offering.

Bottle: Poured a hazy copper orange with fluffy white head. Nose was a sour funky oak. Taste was sour fruity, funky sherry, and oaky.

Bottle. Not an overwhelming sour, but also not a bad one. It is a bit lactic, but not in a disturbing way.

75CL Bottle enjoyed at fridge temperature. First pour was a reddish brown, second has a bit more yeast and a little tiny reddish brown head. Has a very light sour, red-brown aroma with stone-fruit, wood, cherry. Taste has a little tartness up front that moves to an oak dominated malty beer with bits of cherry flavor. finish is fleeting with a little wheat.

Bouteille 75cl, de et partagée avec Omgrich. First thing that came to mind was, wow this smells like 3F Zenne y Frontera.

Thanks! 750 ml. bottle sampled @ “Tim’s Christmas Tasting”. Batch #1 – 12.15.2014. Hazy amber, orange, creamy off-white head. Nose is big oak, lots of sherry, mineral, wild yeast, light red fruit jam, lots of sherry & wild bacteria, faint mold. Taste is mineral red fruits, huge sherry & oak, rather thinned out with light red fruits, lots of wild bacteria, mineral, light brown sugar. Thinned out body, bacteria. Interesting bacterial / sour profile with lots of lovely sherry oak, tad too thinned out for me to fully shine but rather lovely still.

Clear amber to orange beer, small irregular creamy off-white head, little stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: funky, sourish, vinegar. MF: ok carbon, medium to light body. Taste: fruity start, pretty sourish, more fruit, funky, hint of vinegar. Aftertaste: funky, spicy, dry, more fruit, bit oxidized, stone fruit.

Bottled, from Systembolaget. Cloudy amber, minimal head. Vinegary nose with oaky sherry, pepper and cherries. Tart with medium body and rounded mouthfeel, very low carbonation. Juicy, tart and somewhat dusty with cobwebs and grapestones. Peppery mid bitter finish. Intense, yet relaxed. Really good!

Sample at Crooked Stave. This beer pours a clear reddish-gold color with a medium thick off-white head that recedes steadily to an outer ring. Stringy lacing on the glass. Aroma of tart fruit, yeast and malt. Medium boy with flavors funky citrus, oak, herbal yeast and malt. The finis is mildly tart with a funky yeast and citrus aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

Hazy orange-ruby color with no head. Stingy infected sour aroma. Gone quickly. Taste is lightly sour, sausages, no complexity. Disappointing.
