Sample during the It Would Brighton MI Birthday If Yoopers Could Lake It To This Tasting! event on 09/18/2020. Slightly cloudy orange-gold color with a medium bone white head that recedes gradually to an outer ring. Sticky strings of lace. Piney hops, citrus and malt in the nose. Medium body with flavors of piney hop, grapefruit and bready malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a citrusy hop aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

Can from Holiday Market. Pours a hazy, deep gold with a finger of creamy, white head that lingers. Lactose and vanilla on the nose with citrus, dank, pineapple and light mango notes as it warms. Creamy and slightly slick texture on the palate. Sweet at first then bitter on the finish. I'm not the biggest fan of lactose in IPAs but I guess it has done what it set out to do.

12 ounce bottle into tulip glass; no bottle dating, but is a recent release. Pours opaquely hazy golden amber/light orange color with a 1-2 finger dense and rocky off white head with amazing retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Thick soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big tangerine, orange juice, grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, mango, melon, citrus peel/zest, light pepper/pine, wheat, white bread dough, light honey, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical hops, lactose, oats, and bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big tangerine, orange juice, grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, mango, melon, citrus peel/zest, light pepper/pine, wheat, white bread dough, light honey, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Very mild pine, zesty, herbal, grassy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of tangerine, orange juice, grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, mango, melon, citrus peel/zest, light pepper/pine, wheat, white bread dough, light honey, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops, lactose, oats, and bready malt flavors; with an awesome malt/bitterness balance; and zero astringent hop flavors after the finish. Slightly increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/silky/grainy, and lightly sticky mouthfeel that is fantastic. Zero warming alcohol for 8%. Overall this is an outstanding NE DIPA. All around awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops, lactose, oats, and bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the minimally bitter/drying finish. Perfectly soft feel for the style. Extremely juicy and lightly dank hop complexity; perfect oats/lactose/malt balance, and mild lingering sweetness. A highly enjoyable offering, and spot on style example.

Sampled from the tap at Hopcat A2. Pours a near clear light yellow with a thick white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma combines citrus and pine with sweet grains supporting. Flavor is more citrus forward with some grass, a hint of pine and a sweet grain backbone.
