Keg at Kings Arms. It pours lightly hazy straw yellow with a medium white head. The aroma is fresh, cracker, spicy, nougat, funky, farmyard, hay and musty. The taste is crisp, mellow bitterness, hay, funk, barnyard, white bread, cereal, nougat and a touch of lemon peel with a dry finish. Medium and fine carbonation. Decent funky saison.

Sampled from bottle shared by Erwin Van Moll @ Brewpub Van Moll. Hazy pale yellow color, small white head. Aroma is lemon, lemon sour. Makes me ’squeeze my eyes’. It also reminds me of the general oder in a urinal. Doesn’t really convince me to actually take a sip but I guess I have to. Taste has that same lemon, limoncello flavor but it’s blended in with the rest of the flavor. Wheat, hops, lightly floral and a moderately bitter finish. Hmm not my kind of beer.

Keg at the bottle shop. A bright yellow / straw coloured pour with a thin white head. Aroma is big floral citrus, pollen, funky lemons, funky grape. Flavour is composed of pithy lemon rind, grainy wheat, straw grains, grape, tangy light sourness. Little rustic, good saison yeast. Palate is light tangy and refreshing, highish carbonation, crisp finish. Really good.

Keg at the Bottle Shop - Bermondsey. Pours hazy yellow with a creamy, pure white head. Pleasant farmy yeast aroma, faint poo, melon, lemon peel, musty hay. Light sweet flavour with nice, lightly juicy and tangy citrus, lemon, more light funk, cellar, horsey. Light in body with average carbonation. Good balance to finish, clean and refreshing, with a little bitter rind, more faintly tart lemon. Solid.
