It’s no easy feat surveying the Guava Kingdom. Then again, it was no easy feat becoming the Guava King. Somehow, Josh managed the latter and keeps up with the former, cruising along on his Heavy Metal-powered Intergalactic Bicycle. This citrus-forward IPA derives its fruit flavor from both mango puree and a generous addition of Mosaic Hops. Tropical flavors explode within a soft body that balances out hoppy notes with a full malt backbone.

Can from Speciaalbierpakket. Aroma is fruity hops, strong tropical fruits, plenty of guava, grapefruit, papaya, citrussy with orange, and a little dankness. Flavour is above moderate sweet and medium bitter. Body is medium. Pretty smooth and tropical with lots of guvava, Mosaic hops, very fruity, very good stuff.

This beer was made for me, being a Josh who loves guava. The holy fruit is light enough here to allow the IPA space. Still some grapefruit and lime hops. Golden pour with decent head and lacing. Bitter finish with some tang. All this being said, though I love IPAs and guava, as a Josh, I wouldn't drink a ton of this. Good but something towards novelty level. Something I'd still come back to but not order all the time. Tap at Apothecary.

Can. A- Hoppy, mild caramel. A- Orange color, chunky liquid, off white head. T- Caramel, fruity, malty, mild bitterness, subtle alcohol, mild guava. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, astringent finish. O- Clearly IPAs are made to keep for 2+ years but between the best by date and how long it's sat in my fridge that is exactly where I was with this one. Not as bad as I expected it to be but the malt clearly set in and there was almost no guava left. A bready yeasty caramel concoction with a random hint of fish sauce.
