It’s no easy feat surveying the Guava Kingdom. Then again, it was no easy feat becoming the Guava King. Somehow, Josh managed the latter and keeps up with the former, cruising along on his Heavy Metal-powered Intergalactic Bicycle. This citrus-forward IPA derives its fruit flavor from both mango puree and a generous addition of Mosaic Hops. Tropical flavors explode within a soft body that balances out hoppy notes with a full malt backbone.

Fluffy white head stayed on a hazy, still, dark orange coloured body. Hoppy Tropical fruits aroma with some sweet citrus. So smooth on the palate. Medium to full bodied, soft, minimal carbonation & a slightly cloying back. I'm not sure what a Guava is as it's not a fruit I've seen in UK but this tastes of Tropical fruits, bitter/sweet citrus, orange, kiwi & avocado with a subtle peppery finish.

16 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 7/25/2017. Pours slightly hazy golden/amber color with a 1-2 finger dense and rocky white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Nice dense soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of big guava, grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, berry, lemon zest, orange peel, light pepper/pine, cracker, lightly toasted biscuit, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical hops, guava, and moderate pale malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big guava, grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, berry, lemon zest, orange peel, light pepper/pine, cracker, lightly toasted biscuit, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of guava, grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, berry, lemon/orange peel, citrus rind, pepper, pine, cracker, lightly toasted biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops, guava, and moderate pale malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and minimal lingering hop astringency after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from bitterness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately bready/grainy/sticky, and lightly resinous/rindy balanced mouthfeel that is great. Minimal warming alcohol for 8%. Overall this is an awesome fruited DIPA. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops, guava, and moderate pale malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink for the ABV, with the modestly bitter/drying finish. Very vibrant and dank hops, with nice guava presence; and solid malt backbone, without being sweet/heavy feeling. Doesn’t go overboard on the fruit. A really enjoyable offering.

Despite the \"hippie/tree hugger\" label, well, it’s free beer and I didn’t care too much. This was poured into a tulip.
The appearance was a copper/burnt orange color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head that slid off immediately. Sliding messy lace.
The aroma had some sweet sugary tropical fruitiness with some light berry tones, some citrusy sweetness and a little bit of grassiness on the back end. Light caramel malts.
The flavor leaned towards the sweet side through the prior mentioned aromas and following through on into the aftertaste and finish.
The palate was about medium bodied with a sturdy malt base creating a decent sipping quality about it. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt fine.
Overall, just another DIPA by Clown Shoes, decent at best.

Pours clear gold into a tulip. White conglomerate head with medium retention recedes leaving spot lacing. Guava, resin and pine aromas. Medium bodied with guava and pine front to back and into the dry finish. Luckily, I like guava - otherwise fairly one-dimensional.

On tap at Hughies. Pours a hazy yellow orange with medium frothy white head leaving spotty lacing. The aroma is strong guava, grass, citrus, pine. Medium body, juicy hop, grass, citrus, light bitterness, very good.
