11.2 oz. bottle from the Brewers Project Pack. Deep dark brown, large foamy tan head, decent retention. Aroma of roasted malts, caramel, leather.
The flavor shows roasted malts, caramel, dark chocolate, and maybe a old yeasty ale hint. The body really lean’s on thin, yet chewy yeasty. Very mild / light bitterness. Decent, nice and old school.
I perfer this a lot more rather than the Guinness Dublin Porter.

50cl bottle from an Albert Heijn supermarket. Pours cloudy black with a dense, foamy, beige head. The aroma contains roasted malt, toasted bread, coffee, dark chocolate and some nuts. It tastes medium to light sweet and medium bitter. Medium body, slick texture, fizzy carbonation - fizzier than the regular Guinness. Indeed a tad more bitter and more roasted than the regular version but lacking a real hoppy character.

At first with molasses in the aroma, I wasn’t too enthused. But this is an old school Porter and its pretty good. Nice Coco, coffee, earthy, more bitter than sweet flavors. Fairly smooth good body I like it & I’d have another; great finish.

dark brown colour, medium sized, creamy beige head, which lasts for several minutes; aroma of dark chocolate, burnt toffee, herbal notes and some dried berries; taste is the same with liqueur-like notes; good one

330 ml bottle. Pours a dark brown color topped by a moderate rocky tan head. Faint roasted malt nose. First sip is sweet roasted malt. Notes of dark coffee and treacle. Chewy mouthfeel. Slightly dry herbal hops in finish. Decent. Like Foreign Extra Stout’s little brother.

Bottle. Black with light tan head. Aroma of licorice, molasses, roast, the hint of that sour old beer that’s presumably doled out by the drop in all their beers. There’s a bit more here than in some, and it’s not obscured. Tastes as it smells with licorice, bread, roasted bitterness, a real lick of milky sourness, moderately spicy hops. Pleasant balance, some mystery. Good.
