Pours dark brown from the bottle. A frothy to creamy beige head lingers. An unexpectedly fruity aroma greets the nose — something along the lines of overripe plum. Taste is follows nose with a somewhat sweet, fermented feel, soon after though turning dryer and more bitter with dark chocolate and a hint of burnt toast rounding out the finish. Body is to the light side of medium, just a touch too thin. Overall though harmonious and pretty good.

Fles gedeeld met Koenzie en Roelzie. Het geeft een zwart bruine kleur met een dun schuim. Het aroma is moutig en wat hout achtig (vaten?). De smaak is moutig, gebrand, donkerfruit en wat koffie achtig.

Ok, at lest this is a real irish one, not like the fake guinness brewed in latrobe at the old rolling rock plant, heheh. Smell is mildly roasty. First taste is aged porter or something, not quite baltic but fer sher quite strong. This big black beer gives you a cat lick mick of a kick. Decent co2 and the aged old britty stiffy upper feel keeps this a lickin. Gets a little better in the middle. Finish is a wic mukker I say. Not bad, but it could be a little more civilized.
