(On tap @ Bottlecraft North Park, April 4/15) Pours . The nose is pretty tart, with notes of unripe mango, nectarine, grapefruit and tart orange, soft pine needles, soft funk, oak, lightly vinous. Flavour is fairly high on the tart side, white wine, pale pit fruit, mango, cheesy funk, pine needles, oaky, a little sweet malt. Finish is fairly dry with lingering tartness and a little light hoppy and tannic bitterness for balance. rather light bodied with soft carbonation. It’s not really a traditional lambic per se, but I suppose it’s not exactly supposed to be. As a hoppy sour with some lambic vibes, it’s very nice.
