Julius gone wild (not funky wild, like insane hop saturation wild)! For the second special edition of Julius brewed specifically for the third anniversary party, we pushed the level of citrus to the fringes of obscenity through additional kettle and dry hopping with the base Julius hop blend. The result is perhaps the most juicy and delectable creation we have ever made! Preposterous Julius, in the best way imaginable.

Cloudy medium orange-brown body, thick puffy cream head. Aroma tart and sweet with bright citrus. Smooth, full, creamy body with orange marmalade, papaya, passionfruit, lime, bubblegum, and a rindy pink grapefruit bite. Upper echelon like all of the Julius line.

Pulp. Creamy lacey white head. Nice nose. Sherbet and orange and melon. Wheat and oats. Very inviting and bang on. Flavor has the citrus fruit and the Honeycomb and oat thing. Creamy finish. Well balanced. Lightly herbal. 8 5 8 4 14

CD 09.04.23 (I Think You Mean "Pina Coladaburg"). Pours a murky/dirty dark golden colour and a dense rocky white head with pretty good retention. Aroma's: lupulin, hop powder, hop juice/tea, resin, dankness. Retronasal follows this, with floral hops, dankness, resin, hop juice. Flavour is (above moderate) bitter with a hint of sweetness in the background. Medium bodied. Creamy mouthfeel, chalky on the teeth. Very bitter finish.

Can at home from J and B Craft Drinks, Amsterdam, 11th November 23. Pours a thick dark soupy orange brown, dense frothy head. Aroma is aromatic citrus, bright, tangerines, taste is super smooth, citrus juicy, but dank, bitter and well balanced, hints of sweet malts and candy and a long lingering bitterness. Fantastic and so drinkable, hop juice. 2nd can a year later - canned 30th August 24, consumed 23rd November 24. So drinkable, this one seems quite carbonated, still a very good IPA, but I’m favouring Tree House DIPAs now !

3/6/2023. Can shared at SBGP3. Courtesy of Reuben, cheers. Pours cloudy dull golden amber with a frothy off-white head. Aroma is super fruited, citrus and stone fruits, mango, pineapple, orange, herb, dank and rubbery notes. Medium sweetness, moderate developing bitterness. Medium to full body, smooth, soft carbonation. Very drinkable.
