Bottle, had in Budapest, Hungary, May 2003. Pale golden, watery and thin, and gassy. On the plus side it was refreshing but I am struggling for other positive comments.

0.5l can courtesy of ozujsko (thanks!). What can one say about Köbányai Sör... nothing much. The can is... ugly. Khaki and blue can with some odd looking guy (Fekete László) "holding" the logo on one side. It poured a big fluffy white head that went away fast leaving scattered lacing. Darker yellow colour, fizzy, with big bubbles clinging to the edge of the glass. Soury, typical pale lager lemony nose. It’s yet another boring lager, lemony, weak hoppy taste, weak hoppy aftertaste, some bite revealing the possibility that there’s corn in here. Could use some more malt. Not as hideous as I expected it to be, but it’s drinkable.

(Bottle 50 cl) Standard pilsener golden, very small creamy head. Light metallic nose, weak hints of malt but the predominant flavour is...cardboard - as so often with cheap lagers. Very watery and absolutely no body. A wee touch of hops in the finish. 200605

Pale golden. Adjunct aroma. Sweet with obviou charater of corn and sugar. Stale and boring. A typical old fashioned boring Hungarian lager.
