01/10 After the hard both drinking and sightseeing day I had to share this 2 l plastic bottle with friends. When I’ve opened it they all gave up so I had to finish it alone after drinking of some 3 litres of various beers... Was not hard at all. Poured golden body with medium head that went away quite fast. Moderate citrus hops aroma. Flavor is quite watery, otherwise bitterish. Finish is short and again watery. Not so bad beer, but quite blank and uninteresting although fuller from normal MB as I could remember.

I saw this and MB Dunkel advertised in a leaflet from the Kaufland mall, so I decided to go there and get them. Found only this because they only seem to have used the Dunkel pic for some reason to advertise the Pils. Blah. Anyway, this is a good enough premium lager, unlike the disappointing Pils. It poured a big fluffy white head that dissipated at a medium pace leaving scattered lacing. The nose is only malt, dust and lemon, ok really as they go. The taste is very bready, with some hints of lemon, with a very solid, but not high quality malt bacground sometimes rising up to dominate the taste. The aftertaste is nice enough, malty. I’m with omhper when hops are concerned, they are barely present. All in all, it’s like a mellower, nicer version of the Pils. It’s quite a nice specimen of its style, and nothing I wouldn’t mind trying again.

Bottled. Pale yellow. Aroma of stale vegetables. Dryish with mellow mouthfeel and low hop rate, leaving the field open for the boiled vegetables to dominate.
