Bottle at Torben Mathews tasting. Creamy white good mostly lasting head. Yellow colour. Moderate malty and light hoppy aroma. Strong anis/absinth notes. Moderate bitter flavor. Anis powering through. Average moderate bitter nice finish. Watery palate. Interresting.

Bottle at Torben Mathews tasting. Nice head with good duration. Color is amber. Aroma and taste are dominated by anis and fennel like Pernod. Some caramel and sugar as well.

Bottled(330ml). -The only one not so good Forstner beer however still better than most of other Austrian lagers. Dark orange coloured, small white head that went away fast, dry peppery (almost chili)nose. Unbalanced spicy-beet-herbal taste without any notes or presence of absinth. Pitty.

Bottle (Bière d’Absinthe, spelled "biére" on the label) that ogivlado got at the brewpub and shared with me (thanks!). Poured a murky lovely dark amber/red body with scant head. Malts and beets in the nose. Bitter taste, husky, beets, that’s all. Slightly acidic in a herbal way, but not much. C’est tout. The brewer did a good job preventing the wormwood from utterly dominating the taste, but might’ve overdone it because not much can be felt, if anything. It’s probably better than any other beers with wormwood, but on its own, especially after Brew-Secco and Triple 22, it’s nothing special.
