0.5 l can. Pale golden colored with thick forthy white head. Plum like cheap fruity aroma with malty notes. Sweet malty corny taste. Short sweet finish, light body. Average industrial lager.

Canned 500ml. -from and at various locations accross Austria (gas stations and supermarkets). Had this one more than 20-30 times in last several years but never wrote my notes on the paper to rewrite it here. So this rate goes from my memory. Pale golden coloured, small to medium sized white head, mild dusty grainy nose. Weak malty, slightly watery, notes of grain and touch of metal with short bitterish finish.

Color dorado pálido y transparente. Espuma blanca; tupida, burbujeante. Aroma escaso, cereal. Entrada dulce. Cuerpo ligero/medio y carbonatación excesiva. Aguada. Final áspero, amargo y seco. Vulgar.

Das Skol ist wohl eines der bekanntesten Billigbiere Österreichs, weil man es wirklich überall bekommt. Ebenso legandär ist der miese Geschmack: Vermutlich wird in der Brauerei Wieselburg und Schwechat das Waschwasser gesammelt, in Dosen abgefüllt und dann als Skol verkauft. Eigentlich muss man sich freuen, dass der Geschmack so wässrig ist, denn der...nennen wir es mal Biergeschmack...wirklich zum allerletzten zählt. Vielleicht könnte man es für ein Bierbad verwenden, wobei ich mich frage, was man dann mit den ganzen leeren Dosen tun soll. Sehen Sie dieses Bier im Supermarktregal sehen und Durst haben: Bitte gönnen Sie sich ein gutes Mineralwasser!

Can from Lupa supermarket, 4.6%. Clearyellow coloured, white head. Nose is malty, dry, a bit grassy. Taste is malty, bit of biscuit, very dry. Finish is fairly dry and slightly bitter.
